Matching and Group Tattoos on the Las Vegas Strip

Matching rainbow heart tattoos in brushed watercolor on two forearms

Vegas trips make tattoo plans. Best friends, couples, a bachelor or bachelorette crew, a family reunion. People walk into Club Tattoo inside The LINQ with the same idea: let's all get something. Matching tattoos are some of my favorite pieces to do, so here's how I like to handle them.

Matching doesn't mean identical

Two people can wear the same idea in different ways. Same symbol, different placement. Same design, one bigger and one smaller. Two halves that only make sense side by side. My gallery has a few: matching rainbow hearts in watercolor, a pair of robots, a mouse bride and groom in full color. Each one is drawn so it works on its own and works better together.

Small and simple wins for groups

If five friends are all getting tattooed in one afternoon, a small, clean piece is the move. A shared symbol, a date, a single word in script, a tiny floral. It keeps the day moving and everyone leaves happy. A bigger matching piece is great too, it just needs its own time. Tell me what you have in mind and I'll tell you what's realistic.

What to bring

Bring an idea, even a rough one. A reference photo, a word, a feeling. Most pieces are drawn for the person wearing them, and a matching piece is drawn for both of you. Tell me who's getting tattooed, where on the body, and how big you're thinking. It also helps to know up front if anyone is a first-timer. I'll walk them through it. Common questions

Can we get matching tattoos together?

Yes. Matching tattoos for couples, friends, and family are something I do often.

Do matching tattoos have to be the same design?

No. They can be the same design, the same idea in different sizes or spots, or two halves of one picture.

Should we book ahead for a group?

Walk-ins are welcome, but if you're coming as a group, request an appointment and tell me how many people are getting tattooed. See how to book on the Strip.

What's a good small matching tattoo?

A shared symbol, a date, a short word in script, or a small flower. Simple pieces are quick and they age well.
