Getting Tattooed on a Vegas Trip: Pool Days, Flights, and Timing

A lot of my clients are visiting. They fly in, get tattooed, and fly home. That works great if you plan it right. The two things that trip people up are the pool and the calendar, so let's sort both.

Get tattooed early in the trip

Book your tattoo for the first day or two, not your last morning. A fresh tattoo needs to be kept clean and out of the water while it settles, and Vegas is built for pools. Getting it done early gives you time to ask me questions, see how it looks, and not spend your last day rushing to a chair before your flight.

The pool and the hot tub

This is the big one. Keep a fresh tattoo out of pools, hot tubs, and any soaking while it heals. Pool water and a healing tattoo don't mix. If a pool day is the whole reason for your trip, tell me when you book and we can plan around it, or choose a spot on the body that stays dry and covered. I walk every client through the care steps, and the basics are in your first tattoo in Vegas.

Sun and the desert

The Vegas sun is strong, and fresh ink should stay out of it. Cover the tattoo or keep it in the shade. The desert air is dry, so follow the care steps I give you and keep it from drying out or cracking.

Flying home

You can fly after a tattoo. Plan for clothes that don't rub the spot, and keep it clean on the trip. If you're flying out the same day, say so when you book so I can plan the session around your departure.

Common questions

Can I swim after getting a tattoo in Vegas?

Not while it's fresh. Stay out of pools, hot tubs, and any soaking while it heals. If you have pool plans, tell me when you book.

Should I get tattooed at the start or end of my trip?

The start. It gives you time to ask questions and keeps your last day free.

Can I fly right after a tattoo?

Yes. Wear loose clothing over the spot, keep it clean, and tell me your flight time when you book.

How do I book if I'm only in town a few days?

Request an appointment before you land with your dates. See how to book on the Strip. Walk-ins are welcome too.
